NATO meeting in Helsingborg 21–22 May

On 21–22 May, the City of Helsingborg will host a major international NATO meeting. During these days, foreign ministers from NATO member countries will gather in the city centre.

As the meeting is a large-scale event with high security requirements, certain parts of Helsingborg will be affected. This applies in particular to central areas where temporary road closures, restricted access and traffic disruption may occur.

If you are travelling in the city, you may therefore notice:

temporarily closed streets and areas
altered traffic flows and some congestion
an increased police presence and security measures in the city

At the same time, the aim is to minimise the impact on daily life as much as possible, although some journeys may take longer than usual.

Lund University plans to continue teaching and operations as normal during these days.

However, if you are travelling to campus or moving around central Helsingborg, we recommend that you plan your journey well in advance and be aware of any changes to traffic patterns.
