Media studio

Create professional videos, podcasts and digital learning materials.

The Media Studio is a fully equipped recording studio located at Campus Helsingborg where you can produce high-quality media for teaching, research communication and collaboration.We can help you record lectures, interviews, podcasts or videos about your research. The studio provides a professional recording environment as well as support with post-production, allowing you to move from idea to finished material. The Media Studio is open to all employees at Lund University.

You do not need any previous experience with video production – we can help you through the entire process.

What can you produce in the studio?

The studio can be used for a range of different productions.

Teaching

  • recorded lectures or full courses (e.g. MOOCs

Research communication

  • short research presentations
  • videos or livestreams for websites, webinars, or conferences

Conversations, interviews, or podcasts

What support can you get?

The Media Studio provides support before, during, and after recording.

Production planning

  • advice on format and structure
  • support in planning the recording
  • help structuring content or interview questions
  • guidance on how the material can be used in teaching or communication

Recording

  • introduction to the studio, equipment and recording best practices 
  • technical support during the recording

Post-production

  • video or podcast editing
  • cutting and structuring recorded material 
  • simple graphic element such as titles, name captions, subtitles, or presentation slides
  • preparing the material for publishing on the web or LMS platforms

This means you can receive support throughout the entire production process, from planning to finished production.

Who can book the studio?

The Media Studio is available to all staff at Lund University and can also be used for student projects within courses.

How it works

  1. Send a booking request by emailing Frank Schreier (mediastudion [at] ch [dot] lu [dot] se (mediastudion[at]ch[dot]lu[dot]se))
  2. Plan your recording, for example a presentation, script, or interview questions.
  3. Record in the studio
  4. Editing of the material if needed, with support for post-production and graphics.

 

Cost

The cost of using the Media Studio is the same as for other teaching rooms at Campus Helsingborg: SEK 650 per hour.

Additional costs (at SEK 650/hour) may apply for post-production work. Any such costs will be discussed with you before the booking is confirmed.
