Limited service

Due to Covid-19 we are forced to change our level of service. Please do take a moment to reconsider before visiting the library. If you find it necessary to pay us a visit we kindly ask you to:

  • Visit the library on your own
  • Leave the furniture where you find it
  • Use the printers on the other floors
  • Keep 2 metres apart

At the moment there are a limited number of study places in the library. Study places are open to those who need to read the reference literature. Our phone is open when the library is open and we reply to emails as fast as we possibly can. Thank you for your cooperation!

Borrow and return books

Loan periods are unchanged. Course books without reservations will be renewed automatically 11 times. This is a temporary measure to mitigate the spread of the corona virus.

Information on loan periods

Overdue fees and fewer automatic loan renewals

The libraries at Lund University will go back to normal lending routines as of 15 September 2021. As one of the coronavirus adjustments, overdue fines on all late returns were cancelled on 19 March 2020. This was done to avoid that disease carriers or those in quarantine would need to come to the library for the returning of books. However, starting on 15 September 2021 overdue fines will again be generated for chargeable material that is returned too late. We will also be going back to the routine that loans are renewable five times, instead of eleven times as has been an interim measure during this period.
