The library during the pandemic
We kindly ask you to help us follow the present restrictions. Please:
- Visit the library on your own
- Use the printers on the other floors
- Keep your distance to everyone
- Stay at home if you have symptoms of coronavirus
Our phone is open when the library is open and we reply to emails as fast as we possibly can. Thank you for your cooperation!

Borrow and return books
Loan periods are unchanged. Please borrow and return books in the self service machine. There is a book drop on the right hand side of the entry door if you do not want to enter the library.
Overdue fees and automatic loan renewals
The libraries at Lund University has since 15 September 2021 returned to normal lending routines. This means that overdue fines will again be generated for chargeable material that is returned late. Course books on loan will automatically renew up to 5 times. The loan periods are unchanged and reminders are sent out in the usual order.
Is it difficult for you to borrow books right now?
You can send someone else to pick up your requested books for you. Books can be checked out at the Information Desk if he/she shows your library card, your ID and their own ID. Remember that you can always reach our e-resources.
Is it difficult for you to return books right now?
Check the length of the loan period. We apply automatic renewals if no one else reserves the book. Log in and check your books in LUBcat. You can return books at all libraries belonging to Lund University. We expect you to return books if you are able to.
If you cannot come to the library
You can return books by ordinary mail.
