Student party in Slottshagen - a new tradition?

Students at Slottshagen

Over a hundred students were gathered in Slottshagen when a party to celebrate the start of the semester was hosted by the City of Helsingborg, together with student associations. With live music, food trucks and dancing at the club The Tivoli, it was an excellent start to autumn and hopefully the beginning of a new tradition.

On 26 August, students at Campus Helsingborg were invited to celebrate the start of the semester in Slottshagen, near Kärnan in Helsingborg. Ola Selmén and his Amigo Band opened the evening's entertainment, and food trucks were on hand to serve visitors. The party then moved to The Tivoli, where DJ and artist Hogland provided the entertainment.

The City of Helsingborg organised the event in collaboration with the student associations Agora, Stampus and Ingenjörssektionen. Christian Orsing, Chairman of the Municipal Executive Board in Helsingborg, welcomed the students alongside Charlotta Johnsson, Vice-Chancellor at Campus Helsingborg.

It is hoped that this event will become an annual tradition to mark the start of the autumn term for students in Helsingborg.

“It's important to get off to a good start in your studies, and it's great that new events are being organised which we hope will become annual traditions. It's especially fitting that this event has started this year, as we are celebrating 25 years at Campus Helsingborg,” said Charlotta Johnsson, Vice-Chancellor at Campus Helsingborg.
